Terpnami Returns to San Francisco (Dec. 6-7) With 30+ Breeders and 2026’s Wildest New Terps

The titans of global terps are gathering for the 2nd annual seed show, Terpnami, in San Francisco, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6-7. About 1,000 gardeners, big and small. I will join them to drop in on 2026’s party waves of flavor. Featuring over 30 breeders on three floors of genetics, music, art, and culture for just $5, the daytime seed rave lays out a definitive sampler of where flavors and effects are going in 2026 and beyond.

Cannabis has dozens of aroma molecules, mainly called terpenes, and we keep finding more that play a role in flavor and effect. You can get weed that tastes like sweet sugary candy, or more tropical taffy, or funky passionfruit, or intense lemon, and even propane, or root beer. Let’s run through a heady few on tap at Terpnami SF 2025.

Fresh Candies

Start with the belle of the ball: global icon Compound Genetics revamps their hit strain Pavé (Paris OG x The Menthol) with new ‘candy’ varietals. Pavé is maximally blingy, like ice-out jewelry, with that bag appeal that Instagram craves. ‘Candy’ remains the top terp of 2025, and it’s not going anywhere.

“Pavé is stunning—it’s one of those crazy bag appeal strains,” said Compound’s Ruby Wagner.

Oakland-based clone powerhouse Purple City Genetics fields Daryl Strawberry with strawberry bubblegum terps from Strawberry Kush x 14 Bombers.

“We’re pretty big fans of it. It has a lot of Strawnanna in it,” said PCG’s Auryn McCafferty. “It has this really nice, perfumey, strawberry bubblegum candy kind of terp, but it’s really strong from Kush Mints and THC Bomb.”

Zesty Zs

Tropical taffy terps widely known as Zkittlez or ‘Zs’ kept on winning in contests like Masters of Rosin and parties like Puffcon 2025.

At Terpnami, the Z returns from an extended residence to the autonomous Basque Country of Spain. Breeders Bask Triangle Farms drop in with Spannabis trophy-winning Z work, refracted through their own Basque lens, complete with Basque names like Ortzadar, which means “rainbow” in Basque.

Oakland group Zeed Vault debuts Zashimi work that puts Pineapple Pez to Yellow Zushi.

Don and Aaron from DNA Genetics hold court with their Zallah Bread—a Triangle Kush Z x Challah Bread that’s the most slept-on cultivar in their menu, Aaron Yarkoni says.

Purple City Genetics has some exclusive Bubble Tea ((Rainbow Belts x Caribbean Cookies) x Akira)—with a unique twist on Tropical Z and sweet candy terps for homegrowers.

Furthermore, NorCal breeders Lempire Farmaseed bring their ‘6Zs’ strain—their latest bit of extensive work on Lem OG, Z and Eddy OG.

Forbidden fruits

Huckleberry Hill Farms had another winning year with Whitethorn Rose (Paradise Punch x Lemon OG). We’ll see tons more floral, citrus, and dankness at Terpnami. Watch out for Mulberry Rose.

Similarly, winning is Canna Country’s all-star ‘#26’ (Forbidden Fruit x Cherimoya), which can taste like passion fruit, guava, and ambrosia. It’s packed with the terpene ocimene.

Strawberry peach tastes can be found in PCG’s Strawberry Barbera (Peaches x Strawnana), which is expected to be in high demand.

Respect to the OGs

Josh D’s OG Kiss (Courtesy Josh D)

The progenitor of OG Kush—Josh D—shows four new OG Kush progeny off his signature OG stud “The Smooch.” OG Kush has this lemon, pine, fuel body to it that is due for a return.

Emerald Cup-winning Rebel Grown has its Double OG Chem work. And DNA Genetics has released an RP43 that’s “kush, kush, and more kush,” said Aaron Yarkoni. “This is like the new OG.”

Also, check PCG’s King Lemon (Super Lemon Haze x Chimera Junky) for tart lemon candy to sweet lemon gas.

And since we’re on gas, Greenshock Farms dominated the California State Fair awards this year after dominating the Emerald Cup in its time. Owner Mark Greyshock’s been hunting for more gassy strains the last few years and has ones like Skunk G-ass, and a propane terp dubbed Frank Hill.

Cookies for dessert

LANTZ x Ridgeline Runtz (Courtesy Ridgeline Farms)

Lastly, fans of vintage Girl Scout Cookies need to check out Central California-based Bosky Genetics’ Kookieland F3s—the third generation of refinements in that line. It’s Dosidos, Forum Cookies, and Candyland.

Similarly, the oft-impersonated Oakland, CA legends Grandiflora show up with a deep cookie bench based off strains like E85, DoggyBag, Blue Cookies, and Project 4516.

Last but usually first, Ridgeline Farms’ contest-dominating dessert work with LANTZ offers a refined Runtz (Gelato x Z) terp that leans more scrumptious than candy.

And that’s just the top line. It’s mind-melting what cannabis can do as a platform for odor and flavor compounds, and there’s far more trippy ones to explore Dec. 6 and 7 in SF—like Biovortex’s GNUT with a savory, funky mix of banana, garlic, gas and berries. Or Freeborn Selection’s Rootbeer work for actual root beer terps. The list goes on and on.

The 2nd annual Terpnami SF Seed Show is Saturday and Sunday, December 6 and 7, in San Francisco. Tickets are $5.
