Easter is coming and the chocolate eggs and bunnies are out to play. Easter is a heart-warming opportunity to see loved ones, do good deeds and share enjoyment with your nearest and dearest. Or, if that’s not quite up your street, Easter can quite easily just be a time for putting your feet up, eating loads of chocolate and enjoying not being at work. Whatever you do during the Easter holidays, chocolate will be near you whether you like it or not.

But what about the chocolates for cannabis lovers? Well, today we’ll be discovering the top 5 cannabis-infused chocolates that deserve recognition this Easter. Perhaps you can purchase one of these for someone you love, or even for yourself this holiday.

Who said Easter fun can’t be for adults? There are plenty of adult-style ways of enjoying the holiday, so check out these options for a super high, super happy, celebration. We’re all over the world of cannabis, with news and fun stories everyday, which you can keep up with by subscribing to THC Weekly Newsletter. You’ll also get direct access to deals on vapes, edibles, and other cannabis smoking paraphernalia, along with offers for cannabinoid compounds like HHC-O, Delta 8, Delta 9 THC, Delta-10 THC, THCO, THCV, THCP & HHC, which are in our “Best-of” lists.

Easter Holidays

If you’re like me, you might forget how and why we celebrate the majority of our international holidays. In fact, it was international name day only a few moments ago and it completely passed me. At christmas or easter or even the newly discovered international name day I usually just enjoy seeing family and, of course, drinking a little more than usual. However, perhaps there is some importance in understanding the history and culture behind these holidays. Especially before we start purchasing some cannabis-infused chocolate goodies. So, what is easter all about?

Easter is celebrated around the same time each year, but not always the same day. Easter takes place on the first sunday after the full moon – which usually means on or after the 21st March. This year, Easter finds itself on the 17th April. There’s a few elements to Easter celebrations, and they all revolve around the anniversary of Jesus Christ rising from the dead after being killed three days prior.

Different regions/religions may celebrate easter on different days. For example, while Easter in the United States was last Sunday, on the 17th, Easter in places like Greece, Eastern Europe, and Russia, where orthodox Christianity is the more predominant, Easter is today, Sunday the 24th.

Holy Week

Easter celebrations can last around a week, depending on how seriously an individual wants to take it. Here is the different parts of Holy Week.

Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday is the sunday before easter sunday. This is the beginning of easter celebrations. It was the day that Jesus supposedly arrived in Jerusalem, with crowds throwing palm branches at his feet in celebration.

Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday is the thursday before easter sunday. This was when Jesus had the last supper with his disciples. They sat breaking bread, conversing and drinking some gorgeous old red wine.

Good Friday

Good Friday is the friday before easter sunday. This was the sad day of Jesus’ death. Jesus Christ was put on the cross and crucified. This is a day of remembering his suffering.

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday is a day of joy and euphoria. This was the day when Jesus resurrected, after being left for dead in a tomb guarded by Roman soldiers.

Why Easter Eggs?

Whether your’e a religious person or not, there’s something pleasant in being reminded why certain holidays happen and where certain rituals come from. It’s very easy to forget why we celebrate anything at all. But now you’ve been reminded about the easter holidays, you might still be thinking: what’s the deal with easter eggs? Well, the BBC writes

“An egg is a symbol of new life. For Christians, Easter eggs are used as a symbol for the resurrection of Jesus.”

Of course now easter eggs have been commercialised into being yummy chocolate eggs. However, there’s still the reminisce of this original belief that eggs highlight Jesus’ return to life after being thought to be dead.

Nonetheless, easter eggs are great and when you’ve got a sweet tooth they can be even better. But this article isn’t about just normal chocolate, today we’re going to be looking at the finest cannabis chocolate out there. It’s hard to decipher between the good and the bad, but we’re going to try.

Top 5 Cannabis Chocolates for Easter

Without further ado, here are the CBD Tester’s most promising chocolates for this year’s easter celebrations. They’re mouth watering, they’re creative, they’re beautiful and…they’re full of cannabis. Enjoy.

1 – Coda Signature

Product: Cream & Crumble from Coda Signature

Cannabis: 100mg THC & CBD

“Milky white chocolate blends with tart sour cream and lemon, speckled with spiced crumble to give this handcrafted edible a unique combination of intensity and richness”

Coda Signature are a US based company that pride themselves in beautifully designed and crafted cannabis-infused sweets and treats. The Cream & Crumble chocolate bar has the delicious taste of cheesecake, condensed into a bar form. This includes hints of lemon, spiced crumble, tart sour cream and Ecuadorian white chocolate. There is a total of 100mg of THC and CBD in a 20 pieced bar. Therefore, there is 5mg of THC and CBD per serving. The product is good for boosting mood, binge watching and zoning out. The flavour and thought behind this product is evident.

2 – Body & Mind Botanicals

Product: UK’s First Cannabis Easter Egg by Body & Mind Botanicals

Cannabis: CBD

“This oeuf of wonderment features a marbled outer shell made of a child-repelling 71% dark chocolate, and when you’ve devoured the egg, inside you’ll find dark chocolate choccy buttons infused with organic cold pressed cannabis oil”

Body & Mind Botanicals are one of the only UK companies who provide their own manufactured CBD products. Their aim, single handedly, is to push the UK’s cannabis industry to somewhere near Americas. Whilst their products do not contain THC, they are pushing the limits with their CBD products. This is proven by their creation of the first ever UK cannabis easter egg. The egg has a beautiful milk chocolate design with white chocolate paint splats. Inside there are secret dark chocolate buttons, which are infused with CBD. This product prides itself on helping with sleep deprivation, anxiety, stress, moods and infections. Whilst it may not seem like a ground-breaking product, in the UK – it certainly is.

3 – Ego Brands

Product: Strawberry White Chocolate Bar from Evergreen Organix

Cannabis: 100mg THC

“A light blend of our creamy white chocolate mixed with natural strawberry pieces”

Evergreen Organix is a marijuana edible producer based in Nevada. They are family made and run, and believe in quality and care. Their strawberry white chocolate bar is handcrafted, and deserves to be on this list. The light pinkish look of the chocolate is dreamy. There are 10 small segments in one bar, which means that each piece contains 10mg THC. This is nothing to be sniffed at. These chocolates are strong. Whilst many producers make chocolate in bulk, Ego brands ensure their chocolate is made with consistency in flavour and potency. This could be the difference for you this easter, or for someone you care about.

4 – Satori Chocolates

Product: Highbush Blueberries in Dark Chocolate from Santori

Cannabis: 100mg THC

“Highbush Blueberries In Dark Chocolate are microdosable edibles with a satisfying chocolate and berry flavor”

Satori chocolates come in small and cute chocolate balls, unlike the rest of the products on this list. The flavour is a stunning combination of dark chocolate and highbush blueberries. Not only do they taste great, but it’s also unlikely that any young child will want to try them as dark chocolate isn’t often popular with younger people. Does that count as a positive? Probably. There are around 50 little chocolate balls, all containing 2% THC. Whilst these delicious nuggets of chocolate might seem harmless, be careful not to have too many in one sitting – the potency adds up.

5 – DIY

Product: Yours

Cannabis: Up to you

If you’re feeling extra adventurous this easter, why not try making your own cannabis easter chocolates. Making the egg-shaped mould might seem too ambitious, but the rest is simple enough. Decarbing cannabis and throwing it in a delicious chocolate mix doesn’t take too long at all. And the rewards are a mouth orgasm.

Happy Easter

There you have it – some of the most exciting and creative cannabis chocolates to feast your eyes on this easter. From all of us here at CBD Testers, we wish you a happy holiday.
