Redefining Natural Relief with Mycrodose by Nature’s Heritage – Cannabis & Tech Today

As cannabis and wellness continue to blend, Nature’s Heritage is pushing boundaries with Mycrodose—thier new no-nonsense tablet loaded with THC, functional mushrooms, and just enough botanical firepower to rattle your chakras and sharpen your edge. We spoke with Brand Director Tami Kirlis to learn how this innovative product is changing the way consumers think about natural relief.

This interview has been edited for length and clarity.

Cannabis & Tech Today: Can you tell us about Nature’s Heritage and your mission with Mycrodose?

Tami Kirlis: So just generally, Nature’s Heritage is a premium cannabis brand, and I know a lot of people say that, right? But I mean, for us, flower comes first, and we have the most amazing team when it comes to cultivators—like salt-of-the-earth, just farmers, if you will. And for us, the strains that we pick to grow, and then the way that we grow them, the way that we dry and cure our flower—everything is about being fresh. When I first entered this industry three years ago, I thought of myself as a cannabis connoisseur back then, and I thought that freshness was something that should be a foundation in flower and in some cases it absolutely is not. When you crack open a jar and smell that perfect aroma and feel that ideal squish, that’s how you know you’ve got quality. Our team cares deeply about the plant.

C&T Today: Yeah, I think when people hear about mass-produced bud testing positive for mold, it definitely raises red flags and creates a real divide when it comes to consumer trust.

TK: There are a lot of heavy regulations around that kind of stuff, but things can still slip through—especially when it comes to microbial counts and that sort of thing. But we’re a multi-state operator, you know what I mean? So when people hear “mass-produced,” I think their impression of a multi-state operator is that we’re just this huge business. And yeah, we are bigger than the smaller guys, but it’s still real people growing our flower—and they really care about it.

What drives me crazy is that with mass-market cannabis, people really need to understand what they’re buying—no matter what it is or who it’s from. Just a little bit of research goes a long way. And once people try our flower, they’re like, “Okay, Nature’s Heritage”… they actually care. They love the plant.

As for Mycrodose, it didn’t start as a Nature’s Heritage product. It was originally a concept to compete with 1906—just a THC pill in the portfolio. But during research & development, we asked: What’s the point of putting this out if it’s not different? That’s when we brought in functional mushrooms, and it just made sense for Nature’s Heritage to house it. The brand is rooted in a connection to nature.

I’ve been into functional mushrooms for years—mushroom coffee is my go-to—and they help me feel mentally sharp. So I was excited when this project landed on my desk. And now that we’ve launched it, I’m even more excited because it’s more than lived up to expectations.

C&T Today: What sets Mycrodose apart from similar products?

TK: A lot of times, inspiration comes from competition but at this point, I don’t see this as something meant to compete with 1906 anymore. Partly because, ever since they entered the hemp side of the market, I don’t really view them as a competitor in the THC or regulated cannabis space. But also because our product includes functional mushrooms—and theirs doesn’t. I really think that’s the key point of difference with Mycrodose.

It’s the combination of THC, functional mushrooms, and targeted botanicals—you don’t see that often. Some products have functional mushrooms alone, and there are a few hemp-derived combos, but nothing quite like this in the regulated cannabis space.

C&T Today: Were there any challenges during formulation?

TK: Definitely. We knew we wanted something that would be relaxing, something that could help with pain, and something that was a bit more uplifting. So, our Director of R&D, Jake Dean, deeply researched which mushrooms would work the best for each one of those occasions.

For example, our G’Night SKU includes:

  • THC, CBD, and CBN for body relaxation
  • Reishi and lion’s mane to support sleep and brain recovery
  • Chamomile and magnesium to round it out

All of that fits into a tiny tablet and getting all those ingredients into such a small tablet was tough. At launch, one SKU—Remedy for pain—was delayed because it wasn’t pressing properly. But the team solved it quickly, and it’s actually rolling out now.

C&T Today: What do you see as the future of functional mushrooms in cannabis?

TK: This space has massive potential. Right now, most products use the fruiting body of mushrooms, but there are different schools of thought on whether the fruiting body or the mycelium are the thing that you want to extract when it comes to functional mushrooms. I think in the future—and mycologist Paul Stamets (of Host Defense) has done amazing work in this realm—I think we’ll see more research into which part of the mushroom is more effective and why these ingredients work so well with our brains.

Also, functional mushrooms are often imperceptible. You don’t necessarily “feel” them, but you notice when you stop taking them. That makes education important—these aren’t psychedelics, but they’re powerful.

C&T Today: Do you have any particular SKU that you think stands out?

TK: Yes—Spark. It’s a combination of focus and energy:

  • THC + THCV and Ginseng for energy
  • Lion’s mane, shiitake to help with focus

I stopped taking Adderall a while ago because of anxiety, and Spark has been a great natural alternative. This blend is perfect for getting through any kind of project. My husband and I like to joke that I accomplish different tasks “powered by spark”. Thanks to the combination of natural ingredients, specifically THCV and Lion’s Mane, you feel clear, alert, and able to get things done—without the crash.

C&T Today: If consumers take one thing away from Mycrodose, what should it be?

TK: That functional mushrooms and plant-based wellness can make a real difference in daily life—even in micro amounts. We named it Mycrodose both as a nod to psychedelic microdosing and as a reminder: a little bit of daily wellness goes a long way.

You don’t have to “trip” to expand your mind. THC & functional mushrooms are a power combo of natural medicine that can give your brain an assist, help you feel more energized & focused, feel better, and more rested—naturally. Who wouldn’t want to give that a try?
