What Are CBD Buds? And Why You Should Try Them

CBD is a relatively new discovery in its isolated form, at least in the world of alternative medicine. However, CBD is steadily becoming a more and more popular option for people who want a natural, organic and non-toxic solution for their particular medical issue.

Some people use it for insomnia or just to encourage a good night’s sleep. Other’s use it to treat pain and inflammation while some swear by it as the best thing on the market for their anxiety. There are many reasons why people use CBD, and there are also many different ways to take it. CBD Edibles in the form of gummy bears or cupcakes are the preferred choice for some, while others favor CBD vape juice or CBD Buds. CBD Buds are also known as CBD Flowers or Hemp Flowers, and they are specially cultivated to ensure the CBD compound inside the plant is the dominant one, with only tiny traces of THC present – if any.

CBD Vs. THC

Many people ask what the difference is between CBD and THC. The main difference is the effect it has on humans, and that’s all to do with cannabinoid receptors inside the brain and organs of the body; a discussion for another time. CBD doesn’t get you high or make you paranoid, just simply leaves you feeling calm and stress-free, according to many who enjoy it. Sure, there are those who like to get high, and they can do so legally in a bunch of states in the USA as well as Canada and some countries in Europe. However, there are many people who like the calming, medicinal effects of CBD buds and have no need for the THC at all. These are the people who benefit from CBD while remaining clear-minded and focused at all times.

CBD vs THC, the differences are day and night

THC stands for Tetrahydrocannabinol and some strains on today’s market (whether medical, legal or not) contain upward of 25 percent THC, making them a lot more potent than the weed of the 1960s. CBD stands for Cannabidiol, and it’s thought to be one of the most medicinal and beneficial compounds from the Hemp plant. It’s more on the therapeutic side of things and is non-psychoactive. CBD Buds have been associated by some with the effective treatment of serious medical conditions including multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, arthritis pain, Dravet’s Syndrome, and various anxiety disorders.

Charlotte’s Web

Charlotte’s Web is probably the best example of a specially cultivated CBD bud that was bred to contain large amounts of CBD and only trace amounts of THC. It became famous a few years ago for successfully treating its namesake, Charlotte Figi, a little girl who was diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome soon after birth. This rare form of epilepsy is almost impossible to treat as so little is known about it, but little Charlotte was almost completely cleared of her symptoms after taking CBD Oil.

Charlotte is just one of many people suffering from serious medical conditions who have used CBD successfully to treat their symptoms and to live a better quality of life. And while clinical studies on CBD may still be a little thin on the ground – mainly due to illegality issues with studying the cannabis plant – there are numerous studies in reputable medical journals speaking of the efficacy of CBD for various medical conditions. CBD is also considered by many to be a lot safer than many pharmaceutical medications on the market today, as CBD seems to have zero side effects.

Variety of CBD Buds

The good news for people wanting to purchase CBD buds is that there are a bunch of great online vendors who cultivate and sell great quality cannabis; with some offering a range of up to 15 different CBD-dominant strains at any one time. Buyers can choose from a range of specially grown CBD, all hand-picked and sold in its raw Hemp Flower form. The CBD buds can then be broken down and rolled into joints, used in pipes or vaporized. Most people report that CBD buds taste and smell similar to conventional cannabis buds but with a more earthy, slightly piney aroma and flavor. Various CBD strains taste slightly different, and some are of the Sativa variety – for daytime use; while others are Indica strains – intended for nighttime use.

Vaporizing CBD Buds

Vaping CBD buds is a much safer way to consume than smoking

Vaporizing, or “Vaping” as it’s commonly known, is an increasingly popular way to take CBD buds and is considered to be much healthier and more efficient than smoking. When you vape CBD, in the right device intended for the purpose, an oven heats the CBD buds inside the bowl as the inhalation of the breath causes hot air to release vapor into the lungs. After a few puffs on the vaporizer, you are left with toasted plant material known as AVB (Already Vaped Bud), which can either be discarded or saved and added later to food. You are also left feeling stress-free and relaxed, but without the confusing state of mind some folks get from THC.

When purchasing CBD buds, always try to do some research on the product you are buying, especially when making that purchase online. A good place to start is with the third-party lab results that any reputable CBD company within the industry will publish and update regularly on their website. Customer reviews from verified buyers are also a great way to get a good idea of other people’s experiences with the CBD Buds you’re interested in.
